When we were deciding on the interior schemes for the cottage we wanted to use as many local artists and suppliers as we could . Being a traditional Lakeland stone cottage we very much wanted to keep it attached to the landscape surrounding it .

Warm paint colours from Farrow & Ball flow through the rooms and compliment the local artists work we have chosen for the walls . A handpainted distressed kitchen also reflects the comfortable at home feel . Local blacksmiths and a stained glass artist also were commissioned for some individual pieces and the hand forged iron garden furniture is a delight to sit on .

The fabrics used throughout the cottage are either wools by Abraham Moon or the Herdwick company in Grasmere, textures and colours that again connect with our Lake District landscape .

We hope you enjoy the pieces we have curated in the cottage. Do ask us if you would like any supplier information .
